My name is Jiří, I’m 51, and I’ve spent pretty much my whole life between fashion and journalism. I started modeling professionally in 1996 and moved to London two years later, where things really took off with Wallpaper magazine, The Gap campaign and the Gucci runway in Milan. I then moved to New York and joined Wilhelmina, working for brands like Versace, Trussardi, D&G, Jil Sander and Hugo Boss, and even walking 26 shows in one Milan season.

After 9/11, I returned to Europe and eventually settled in Berlin, where I went to university and started working as a journalist. I still work in media today and continue modeling whenever my schedule allows, especially in commercials.

These days, I travel between Berlin and Paris, where my daughter and girlfriend live. I value honesty and loyalty above everything and still keep friendships going back decades. I have an almost elephant-like memory, and my friends call me “Rain Man”. I’m a big fan of Once Upon a Time in America, Jennifer Connelly and “Fools Gold” by The Stone Roses.
